6.13. NetEye Monitoring

Clavister NetEye is a standalone product that performs high performance virus scanning, which includes SSL inspection. NetEye is available either as a cloud service or running on dedicated local hardware.

InCenter can be used to collect and analyze log messages generated by NetEye but, at this time, only a NetEye cloud instance is capable of sending log messages to an InCenter cloud instance. Both the NetEye cloud instance and associated InCenter cloud instance must be registered to the same MyClavister account.

When NetEye log messages are received by the InCenter server, they are stored in the same way as logs from a Clavister firewall and can be displayed in graphical form using the InCenter WebUI. This display is accessed via the NetEye menu option in the Analyze menu. Below is an example of the WebUI summary display forNetEye.

Setting Up Log Sending in NetEye

No configuration of InCenter is required in order to process incoming NetEye log messages. However, NetEye itself must be configured to send log messages to InCenter. This is done in the NetEye configuration page of the relevant MyClavister account and is described further in the Neteye Setup chapter of the separate InCenter NetEye Cloud Getting Started Guide.
