Chapter 5: RADIUS Setup

RADIUS scenarios are used in EasyAccess to handle incoming RADIUS connections. The EasyAccess server can act as a RADIUS server and respond to incoming RADIUS authentication requests. The response may be the simple authentication of username and password credentials against a user database, or authentication may include one of the many multifactor authentication options that EasyAccess provides.

Setting up various types of example RADIUS scenarios will be described in the subsections that follow.

5.1. Basic RADIUS Scenario Setup

This section discusses setting up EasyAccess to do basic RADIUS authentication of username and password credentials, without any form of additional multifactor authentication.

To set up a basic RADIUS connection, go to Scenarios > Connections in the configuration manager WebUI and select the plus button on the RADIUS option.

Add a RADIUS Connection

A guide will now begin which prompts for the information required.

The guide prompts for the IP address and port to listen on for RADIUS requests. A value of 0.0.0.0.0 means that listening will be for all IP addresses.

The next step in the guide shows a summary of the RADIUS connection.
