1.3. 500 Series Models and Differences

There are two revisions of the 500 Series model:

[Important] Important: Some earlier cOS Core versions are not supported

The supported cOS Core versions are as follows:

  • The 500A can run any cOS Core version from 14.00.04 onwards.
  • The 500B can run any cOS Core version from 15.00.00 onwards.

Earlier versions than those stated above are not supported and a downgrade should not be attempted.

500B Differences

The principal differences in the 500B when compared with the 500A are as follows:

[Warning] Warning: The 500B is NOT an identical replacement for the 500A

When replacing an older 500A unit with a newer 500B unit, there are differences between the two models. Using a high availability cluster with Rev.A and Rev.B devices is NOT supported.

HA clusters must consist of either two Rev.A devices or two Rev.B devices.
